Description
The TC4422AV is an improved version of the TC4421A/TC4422A family of single-output MOSFET drivers. These are high-current buffer/drivers designed to drive large MOSFETs and Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs). They have matched output rise and fall times, as well as matched leading and falling-edge propagation delay times. The TC4422AV also has very low cross-conduction current, which reduces the overall power dissipation of the device.
Specifications and features
With a high peak output current of 10A (typical), the TC4422AV has a wide input supply voltage operating range of 4.5V to 18V. It also has a high continuous output current of 2A (max), matched fast rise and fall times, low supply current, and low output impedance. Additionally, it is latch-up protected, will withstand 1.5A output reverse current, and has a DFN package to save space.
Application Scenarios
The TC4422AV can be used as line drivers for extra heavily-loaded lines, pulse generators, driving the largest MOSFETs and IGBTs, local power ON/OFF switch, motor and solenoid driver, and LF Initiator.
