Description
The ADP3120A is a single-phase 12V MOSFET gate driver that is designed to drive both high-side and low-side power MOSFETs in a synchronous buck converter. It is an all-in-one synchronous buck driver that has been optimized to enable the gates to be driven efficiently, ensuring high performance in a variety of applications.
Specifications and features
- The high-side and low-side driver can drive up to 3000 pF load with a 45 ns propagation delay and a 25 ns transition time.
- The driver has a wide operating voltage range, allowing it to be optimized for the best efficiency.
- Internal adaptive non-overlap circuitry reduces switching losses by preventing the simultaneous conduction of both MOSFETs.
- The floating top driver design is capable of accommodating VBST voltages as high as 35V.
- The driver has an undervoltage lockout function that ensures that both driver outputs are low when the supply voltage is low.
- The IC has a thermal shutdown function that provides overtemperature protection.
