Description
The DS1312E Nonvolatile Controller with Battery Monitor is a CMOS circuit that is designed to convert CMOS RAM into nonvolatile memory. It solves the problem of converting CMOS RAM into nonvolatile memory by monitoring the incoming power for an out-of-tolerance condition. When an out-of-tolerance condition is detected, the chip enable is inhibited to provide write protection, and the battery is switched on to supply uninterrupted power to the RAM. This controller uses a low-leakage CMOS process to achieve precise voltage detection and low battery consumption.
