Description
The DS1314S+ is a CMOS circuit designed to convert CMOS RAM into nonvolatile memory. It solves the application problem of converting CMOS RAM into nonvolatile memory. The chip monitors the incoming power for any out-of-tolerance condition. When such a condition is detected, the chip enable is inhibited to accomplish write protection, and the battery is switched on to supply uninterrupted power to the RAM. The DS1314S+ uses special circuitry that utilizes a low-leakage CMOS process. This allows for precise voltage detection at extremely low battery consumption.
