Description
The NCV380LMUAJAATBG is a power distribution switch that belongs to the UC3842B, UC3843B series. These controllers are designed for both off-line and DC-DC converter applications. They provide users a cost-effective solution with minimal external components. The UC3842B, UC3843B series features a temperature compensated reference, high gain error amplifier, a trimmed oscillator for precise duty cycle control, and a current sensing comparator. They also have a high current totem pole output that is suited to drive a power MOSFET. The NCV380LMUAJAATBG has UVLO thresholds that are tailored for low voltage applications with voltage thresholds of 8.5 V (on) and 7.6 V (off). Additionally, this switch has protective features such as input and reference undervoltage lockouts, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, programmable output deadtime, and a latch for single pulse metering. This device is available in an 8-pin dual-inline and surface mount (SOIC-8) package, as well as in a 14-pin plastic surface mount (SOIC-14) package that has separate power and ground pins for the totem pole output stage.
