Description
The PCA9685PW,118 is a 16-channel LED driver that is optimized for RGBA color backlighting applications. It features individual PWM controllers for each LED output, with a resolution of 12 bits or 4096 steps. The frequency of the PWM controllers is adjustable from 40 Hz to 1000 Hz while the duty cycle is adjustable from 0% to 100%, enabling specific brightness values to be set. Additionally, the PCA9685 allows for staggered LED output on and off times to minimize current surges, and it has a programmable prescaler to adjust the PWM pulse widths of multiple devices.
