Description
The TPS92611-Q1 is a single-channel high-side LED driver designed to work with a car battery to provide constant current for a single LED string. This monolithic solution is qualified for automotive applications and can significantly decrease system-level component counts while improving current accuracy and reliability. With LED diagnostics, this solution can address different requirements for automotive applications, working together with other LED drivers such as TPS9261x-Q1, TPS9263x-Q1, and TPS9283x-Q1 devices.
Specifications and Features
The TPS92611-Q1 LED driver is AEC-Q100 qualified with temperature grade 1 ranging from -40°C to 125°C ambient operating temperature range and categorized as HBM ESD classification level H2, and CDM ESD classification level C3B. This device has a wide input-voltage range of 4.5 V to 40 V, adjustable constant output current through a sense resistor, and a precision current regulation tolerance of ±4.6%. The maximum current supported is 300 mA, and there is an external resistor for heat sharing purposes. This device also features LED open-circuit and short-circuit detection with auto-recovery, fault bus up to 15 devices, and low quiescent current and fault-mode current (<250 µA per device).
Application Scenarios
The TPS92611-Q1 LED driver is designed for automotive convenience lighting, including dome lights, door handles, reading lamps, and miscellaneous lamps, and other automotive LED driver applications such as rear lamps, center high-mounted stop lamps, side markers, blind-spot detection indicators, and charging inlet indicators.
