Description
The LT1575CS8-1.5 is a linear regulator controller that drives an external N-channel MOSFET as a source follower to produce an ultrafast transient response and low dropout voltage regulator. It is designed to achieve unprecedented transient load performance by eliminating the need for expensive tantalum or bulk electrolytic output capacitors in modern microprocessor applications. The LT1575CS8-1.5 is available in both adjustable and fixed output voltage versions, making it compatible with any required microprocessor power supply voltage. It also allows for very low dropout voltages to be achieved by selecting the N-channel MOSFET RDS(ON).
