The Electronic Component Model EPC16UI88AA is an enhanced configuration device designed for high-density FPGAs. It consists of a configuration controller and a flash memory, which is used to store configuration data for Altera FPGAs. Additionally, the flash memory can be utilized to store processor code or data that can be accessed after FPGA configuration is complete.

- Single-chip configuration solution for various FPGA series including Stratix, Cyclone, APEX II, APEX 20K, Mercury, ACEX 1K, and FLEX 10K.
- Contains 4, 8, and 16-Mbit flash memories for configuration data storage.
- On-chip decompression feature to increase configuration density.
- Configurable power-on reset (POR) time.
- Supports byte-wide configuration mode fast passive parallel (FPP) and true n-bit concurrent configuration of Altera FPGAs.
- Multiple configuration clock sources supported.
- Available in the 100-pin plastic quad flat pack (PQFP) and the 88-pin Ultra FineLine BGA packages.
- Supply voltage of 3.3 V (core and I/O).
