** LTC1642CGN Description **
The circuit of LTC1642CGN hot-swap controllers demonstrate how a hot-swap controller limits inrush current by gradually decreasing an N-channel MOSFET's on-resistance. When the board is first connected, the controller gradually enhances the MOSFET, allowing the voltage at the MOSFET's drain to rise from zero volts to a maximum of ten volts.
