Description
The AMS2120S is a voltage detector IC belonging to the AMS26 series. It features a high accuracy detector threshold of ±2.0% and ultra-low supply current. The internal circuit consists of a precision voltage reference, a comparator, resistor network, and an output driver. It has an NPN open collector output. The detector threshold can be set from 1.45V to 4.6V in 0.05V increments and from 4.6V to 7.9V in 0.1V increments. For higher thresholds, it is available from 7.9V to 12V in 170mV increments. This makes it suitable for a variety of supervisory applications including microprocessor reset circuits, memory battery back-up circuits, battery checkers, power failure detectors, and portable and battery-powered electronics. The AMS2120S is available in TO-92 and sub-miniature 3-pin SOT-23 surface mount packages.
