The SP237AES-L is a multi-channel RS-232 line driver/receiver in the SP230A series. It is designed to provide a variety of configurations for communication needs, especially in situations where ±12V is not available. This model features a shutdown mode to conserve power in battery-powered systems. It also requires no external components and operates from a single +5V power supply. The driver and receiver meet all EIA RS-232D and CCITT V.28 requirements. The SP237AES-L is available in plastic DIP and SOIC packages.
