Description

R8A66166SP is a LED array driver with a 16-bit serial input and parallel output shift register function, as well as a direct-coupled reset input and output latch function. It guarantees an output current of 24mA (Vcc = 5V case), making it suitable for cathode common LED drive. The parallel output is an open-drain output. This product is designed in complete CMOS, resulting in significantly reduced power consumption compared to conventional bipolar or Bi-CMOS products. The pin layout is designed for easy printed circuit implementation. R8A66166SP is the successor to the M66310 model.
