The PCF1122A-BD is a single chip, 4.19 MHz CMOS car clock circuit designed to drive a 4-digit duplex liquid crystal display (LCD). It provides hours, minutes, and seconds functions and can be operated in either a 12-hour or 24-hour mode. The circuit is battery-operated and features an internal voltage regulator that is programmable for various LCD voltages. Time calibration and voltage regulation can be adjusted electronically through an on-chip EEPROM. The LCD voltage adjusts with temperature to ensure good contrast. The PCF1122A-BD is available in a 28-lead plastic SMD (SO28) package.
