Description
The SM712-02HTG is a TVS Diode Array that has been designed to offer protection for RS-485 applications. The device can protect from damage caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD), electrical fast transients (EFT), and lightning-induced surges that occur from -7V to 12V of asymmetrical working voltages. The SM712 has the capacity to absorb repetitive ESD strikes, even when over the maximum level provided by the IEC 61000-4-2 international standard, all without performance degradation. Moreover, the SM712 can safely dissipate up to 19A of 8/20us induced surge current given the very low clamping voltages.
