R8A66160 is an IC chip for LED array driver, having a 16-bit serial input and parallel output shift register with a direct coupled reset input and output latch function. This product is designed to provide an output current of 24mA (Vcc=5V case) that is suitable for cathode common LED drive, capable of following 16-bits continuously at the same time. It has open drain output parallel output and can be powered with a single power supply (VCC=5V or 3.3V).
