PBL38042 is a monolithic integrated circuit designed to power EL (electroluminescent) lamps, motivated to replace the LCD background illumination system in battery-powered handheld devices with a low-power EL-lamp. It is ideally suitable for mobile phones, where current savings are highly significant for both the LCD and keyboard background illumination. The maximum output voltage is 190V, and the minimum voltage is 170V at max.
