    The ADM202AANZ is a 2-channel RS-232 line driver/receiver pair designed for electronic component applications. It operates from a single 5V power supply and uses a highly efficient on-chip charge pump design. This enables the development of RS-232 levels using small charge pump capacitors as small as 0.1 µF. The ADM202AANZ is able to generate ±10V RS-232 output levels. It meets or exceeds the TIA/EIA-232-E and V.28 specifications, allowing for fast driver slew rates and 120 kB operation. The high drive currents also enable extended cable lengths. The ADM202AANZ features an epitaxial BiCMOS construction, minimizing power consumption to 10 mW and preventing latch-up. It also provides overvoltage protection, allowing the receiver inputs to withstand continuous voltages exceeding ±30V. All pins on the ADM202AANZ have ESD protection, making it highly reliable. It is available in a 16-lead PDIP and both narrow and wide 16-lead SOIC packages.
