    The SN75LBC174N is a differential driver and receiver pair which is designed for high-speed multipoint data transmission over long cables. The device is a balanced, or differential, voltage mode device which meets or exceeds the requirements of industry standards ANSI RS-485 and ISO 8482:1987(E). The components are designed to operate with pulse durations as low as 30 ns. It has a low supply current of 5 mA Max and Thermal Shutdown Protection features to prevent driver damage from bus contention, making it ideal for Party-Line buses
