    The SN75LVDS83BDGGR is a differential receiver and transceiver that is designed for bidirectional data communication over long cables. It is a voltage-driven device that meets or exceeds the requirements of industry standards such as ANSI RS-485 and ISO 8482:1987(E). Besides, it has a common-mode voltage range of –7 V to 12 V and thermal shutdown protection to prevent driver damage from bus contention.     The SN75LVDS83BDGGR is a member of the SN55LBCxxx, SN65LBCxxx, and SN75LBCxxx family of differential drivers and receivers that are designed for high-speed multipoint data transmission over long cables. It is pin-compatible with the SN75ALS180.
