The IRFP460PBF is a high-performance power MOSFET designed by Vishay. It is of the field-effect tube (MOSFET) category. This third-generation MOSFET provides the best combination of fast switching, ruggedized device design, low on-resistance, and is also cost-effective, making it an ideal component for various electronic designs. Its TO-247 package is preferred for commercial and industrial applications where high power ratings preclude the use of TO-220 devices. The TO-247 package is an upgrade to the TO-218 package, thanks to its isolated mounting hole, which offers better creepage distances to meet safety requirements.
