The SP485CP is a half-duplex transceiver that belongs to the SP481, SP483, and SP485 family. It is designed to meet the requirements of RS-485 and RS-422 communication protocols. Its BiCMOS design allows for low power operation without compromising performance. The SP481 and SP485 versions of the transceiver support communication speeds of up to 5Mbps, while the SP483 version is limited to 250kbps. The SP481 and SP483 models feature a low power shutdown mode, and the SP483 model also includes an internally limited slew rate to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI).
