Description
The 74HC123DB is a high-speed Si-gate CMOS electronic component in the product category of Multivibrators. It is pin compatible with Low-power Schottky TTL (LSTTL) and complies with JEDEC standard no. 7A.
The 74HC123DB is a dual retriggerable monostable multivibrator with output pulse width control. The pulse width can be programmed using an external resistor (REXT) and capacitor (CEXT). Once triggered, the output pulse width can be extended by retriggering the active LOW-going edge input (nA) or the active HIGH-going edge input (nB). The output pulse period (nQ = HIGH, nQ = LOW) can be made as long as desired. The output delay can also be terminated at any time using the LOW-going edge on input nRD, which also inhibits the triggering. The circuit can also be triggered by a HIGH-going signal at input nRD.
The 74HC123DB features Schmitt-trigger action in the nA and nB inputs, making it highly tolerant to slower input rise and fall times. It is identical to the 74HC423; 74HCT423 but can be triggered via the reset input. It has the following specifications and features:
