Description

The SG7818T is a positive regulator in the SG7800A/SG7800 series. It offers self-contained, fixed-voltage capability with up to 1.5A of load current and an input voltage up to 50V (SG7800A series only). The SG7800A version of this regulator features a unique on-chip trimming system that allows for setting the output voltage to within ±1.5% of nominal, while the SG7800 version has a ±2.0% accuracy. The SG7800A versions also provide much improved line and load regulation characteristics compared to the SG7800 series. This regulator utilizes an improved Bandgap reference design to eliminate common issues associated with Zener diode references, such as drift in output voltage and large changes in line and load regulation.
