The AK4588VQ is a single chip codec that is categorized under IC chips. It comprises of two channels of analog-to-digital converters and eight channels of digital-to-analog converters. With a dynamic range of 102dB for ADC and 106dB for DAC, this chip is well-suited for digital surround in home theaters and car audio. The AK4588VQ has a balance volume control that corresponds to the Dolby Digital (AC-3) system. Additionally, this IC chip has both digital audio receiver (DIR) and transmitter (DIT) that are compatible with 192kHz, 24-bits. It also features a fully compatible hardware and software with the AK4628 and the AK4114.
