Description

The CY7C245A-15JIT is a type of first-in-first-out (FIFO) memory. It is a member of the CY7C4 series of FIFOs, which are available in packages of different sizes. The CY7C245A-15JIT has a storage capacity of 2,048 words, each 9 bits wide. It is designed to ensure sequential readout of data that has been previously written. The memory has full and empty flags to prevent overruns and underruns and comes with three additional pins that allow for unlimited expansion in width, depth, or both. The expansion capability enables control signals to be steered from one device to another in parallel, thereby eliminating the need for serial addition of propagation delays that can negatively impact throughput.
