Description
The 3046A is an IC chip belonging to the RS5RJ series, which is a step-up DC/DC converter IC equipped with a voltage regulator and a voltage detector by CMOS process. It is an output-voltage-fixed type regulator that functions as a linear regulator when input voltage is high and as step-up DC/DC converter + linear regulator when input voltage is low. The ICs are suitable for battery-powered and hand-held instruments because internal circuits can be turned off by the chip enable function so that the standby current can be minimized.
