The SC16C2550BIB48 is a high-performance inverting DC-DC converter designed for generating programmable negative voltages by driving an external power switch. It is particularly suitable for LCD bias contrast applications and can achieve a maximum efficiency of 90% using low-cost PNP bipolar transistor drivers. With an input operation range of 4V to 24V, it can be powered directly by battery packs in most battery-operated applications, resulting in greater efficiency. The output voltage can be scaled to -40V using two external resistors. Utilizing a pulse frequency modulation scheme, it maintains high-efficiency conversion under wide input voltage ranges.
