Description
The ST16C550CP40-F is a Universal Asynchronous Receiver and Transmitter (UART) that features 16-byte transmit and receive FIFO. It is designed as a pin-to-pin compatible replacement to the industry-standard 16C550. It is operable within a voltage range of 2.97 to 5.5 volts and provides a baud rate generator that can select transmit and receive clock rates from 50 bps to 1.5 Mbps. This model is widely used in electronic components for providing full duplex operation along with transmit and receive control.
