Description
The AS2333E is a housekeeping circuit designed for monitoring the outputs of power supplies. It eliminates the need for external dividers by directly sensing all the output rails. This circuit detects both undervoltage and overvoltage conditions. It also includes an undervoltage comparator that can be configured with arbitrary hysteresis to sense a divided down representation of the AC bulk voltage. The housekeeping section provides all the necessary features to allow external capacitors to set the common timing features of PC-type power supplies. Additionally, negative rails can be sensed without a VEE connection, and negative sensing can be disabled without affecting the positive sense section. The AS2333E is available in a 16-lead package and includes outputs for Power OK (POK) and a fault signal.
