Description
The MAX7219CNG is a compact, serial input/output common-cathode display driver designed to interface microprocessors (µPs) to various types of LED displays. It can drive up to 8 digits of 7-segment numeric displays, bar-graph displays, or 64 individual LEDs. With a built-in BCD code-B decoder, multiplex scan circuitry, segment and digit drivers, and an 8x8 static RAM, it offers a complete solution for controlling LED displays. The MAX7221CNG version also provides slew-rate-limited segment drivers for reduced electromagnetic interference (EMI). Both versions support various serial interfaces including SPI™, QSPI™, and MICROWIRE™.
