It provides SONET/SDH Mux/Demux, Transport Overhead Terminating Transceiver and Pointer Processors for STS-48/STM-16 and up to 4 x STS-12/STM-4 or 16 x STS-3/STM-1s. The component supports Serial STS-12/STM-4 and STS-3/STM-1 interfaces and can be provisioned as SONET or SDH on a per line basis.
