SDA 9588X is a cost-effective PiP processor that combines high-quality digital PIP signal processing, digital multistandard color decoding, and AD/DA conversion on a single chip. It is equipped with CVBS and Y/C input interfaces and can also process YUV input signals for displaying high-quality video signals.
Specifications and features
- Single chip solution with integrated AD-conversion, color decoding, PLL, decimation filtering, embedded memory, RGB matrix, DA-conversion, RGB/YUV switch, data-slicer, and clock generation
- Analog inputs: 3x CVBS or 1x CVBS and 1x Y/C or 1xYUV
- Clamping of each input and Automatic Gain Control (AGC) for Y and CVBS
- Inset Synchronization with multiple time constants and automatic recognition of 625 lines / 525 lines standard
- Color Decoder supports PAL-B/G, PAL-M, PAL-N (Argentina), PAL60, NTSC-M, NTSC4.4, and SECAM
- Adjustable color saturation, hue control for NTSC, automatic chroma control, and IF-characteristic compensation filter
- Decimation with adjustable PIP sizes, resolution up to 216 luminance and 2x54 chrominance pixels per inset line, and horizontal and vertical filtering dependent on picture size
- Display Features: 7-bit per pixel stored in memory, field and joint-line free frame mode display, display on VGA and SVGA screen, 16:9 compatibility, line doubling mode, freeze picture, and positioning options
- Output signal processing with 7 Bit DAC, RGB or YUV switch, digital interpolation for anti-imaging, adjustable transient improvement, contrast/brightness/pedestal level adjustment, analog outputs, RGB matrices, background colors, and frame options
- Data Slicing for closed-caption or wide-screen-signaling data, violence blocking capability, and filter options for XDS data extraction
- I2C-Bus control (400 kHz) and high stability clock generation
- PDSO 28-1 package (SMD) and 3.3V supply voltage (5V input capable)
