Description
The IA82510-PLC28I is a UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter) electronic component that serves as a drop-in replacement for the original IC. The innovative Managed IC Lifetime Extension System (MILES) cloning technology by innovASIC is used to produce replacement ICs that are far more complex than emulation while ensuring that they are compatible with the original IC. MILESTM captures the design of a clone so it can be produced even as silicon technology advances. This data sheet documents all necessary engineering information about the IA82510 including functional and I/O descriptions, electrical characteristics, and applicable timing.
Specifications and features
The IA82510-PLC28I is Form, Fit, and Function Compatible with the Intelâ 82510. It is equipped with asynchronous serial channel operation features and separate transmit and receive FIFOs with a programmable threshold. The baud rate generators are programmable up to 288K Baud. The component also features some special protocol capabilities such as control character recognition, auto echo and loopback modes, 9-bit protocol support, and 5 to 9 Bit Character Format. The IA82510-PLC28I is available in packaging options of 28 Pin Plastic or Ceramic DIP, 28 Pin Plastic Leaded Chip Carrier, 28 Pin Ceramic Leadless Chip Carrier.
