Description
The LT1132ACSW is part of the LT1130A/LT1140A series of RS232 drivers/receivers. It is designed with special bipolar construction techniques to protect the drivers and receivers from fault conditions stipulated for RS232. The driver outputs and receiver inputs can be shorted to ±30V without damaging the device or the power supply generator. Additionally, the RS232 I/O pins are resilient to multiple ±10kV ESD strikes. The LT1132ACSW features an advanced driver output stage that operates up to 250kbaud while driving heavy capacitive loads. It has a supply current typically of 12mA, which is competitive with CMOS devices. Some members of the series include flexible operating mode controls, such as DRIVER DISABLE pin to disable the drivers and charge pump, and ON/OFF pin to shut down all circuitry, allowing the drivers and receivers to assume high impedance output states.Specifications and features
