Description
The KA5M0965Q-TU is a part of the Fairchild Power Switch (FPS) product family, specifically designed for offline SMPS applications with minimal external components. It combines a high voltage power SenseFET and a current mode PWM IC. This integrated solution includes features such as an integrated fixed frequency oscillator, under voltage lock-out, leading edge blanking, optimized gate turn-on/turn-off driver, thermal shutdown protection, over voltage protection, and temperature compensated precision current sources for loop compensation and fault protection circuitry. Compared to discrete MOSFET and PWM controller solutions, the KA5M0965Q-TU helps reduce total component count, design size, weight while increasing efficiency, productivity, and system reliability.
