Description
TNY279PN is an energy-efficient off-line switcher designed for use in AC DC Converters and Offline Switchers. It consists of a 700V power MOSFET, an oscillator, a high-voltage switching current source, a current limit, and thermal shutdown circuitry. This IC series employs an ON/OFF control method, providing a design-flexible solution with low system costs and extended power capabilities.
Specifications and features
TNY279PN easily meets all global energy efficiency regulations and has no-load <150mW at 265VAC without bias winding and <50mW with bias winding. It has a wide output power range of 12W to 32W, making it suitable for use in PDAs, shavers, digital cameras, MP3/portable audio, and other similar applications. The IC features enhanced safety and reliability attributes and a simple ON/OFF control, thus eliminating the need for loop compensation.
Application Scenarios
TNY279PN is suitable for use in adapters for cellphones, cordless phones, DVD/PVR, and other low power set-top decoders. It's also perfect for use in PC standby and other auxiliary supplies.
