Description
The 5M02659 is an offline switcher and a member of the Fairchild Power Switch (FPS) product family. This product is designed with minimal external components specifically for off-line switch-mode power supplies (SMPS). It features a high voltage power SenseFET and a current mode PWM IC. The integrated controller has several features such as under voltage lockout, leading-edge blanking, fixed oscillator, optimized gate turn-on/off driver, over-voltage protection, thermal shutdown protection, and temperature compensated precision current sources for loop compensation and fault protection circuitry. The FPS product can reduce total component count, design size, weight and at the same time increase efficiency, productivity, and system reliability. The basic platform makes it suitable for flyback or forward converters, and it's cost-effective to design.
