Description
The SG1844/45 family of control ICs is designed for off-line fixed frequency, current-mode switching power supplies with improved line regulation, load regulation, and inherent protection of the power supply output switch. This family of ICs requires only a minimum number of external components to implement. It has a current limit circuitry, pulse-by-pulse current limiting, a low start-up current, and an optimized totem-pole output to drive the gate of a power MOSFET. Moreover, the bandgap reference is trimmed to ±1% over temperature, and the oscillator discharge current is trimmed to less than ±10%.
