The 24C64W is an I2C-compatible electrically erasable programmable memory (EEPROM) that comes in a 16384 × 8 bits configuration. It is a part of the M24C series, which includes the M24C32 and M24128 devices with 4096 × 8 bits and 8192 × 8 bits configurations, respectively. The 24C64W utilizes a two-wire serial interface with a bi-directional data line and a clock line. It features a built-in 4-bit Device Type Identifier code (1010) in accordance with the I2C bus definition. The memory supports a write control input, as well as byte and page write modes. It also offers random and sequential read modes, a self-timed programming cycle, automatic address incrementing, and enhanced ESD/latch-up protection. The 24C64W is capable of over 1 million write cycles and has a data retention of over 40 years. It is available in ECOPACK® packages, which are RoHS compliant.
