Description

The ST7669A-G3 is a driver and controller LSI for 262K color graphic dot-matrix liquid crystal display systems. It generates 396 segment and 162 common driver circuits. This chip is directly connected to a microprocessor and accepts Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) or 8-bit/16-bit/18-bit parallel display data. It stores the data in an on-chip display data RAM and performs read/write operations with no external operating clock, minimizing power consumption. It also includes power supply circuits necessary to drive the liquid crystal, allowing for a display system with the fewest components.
