Description
The Fairchild Power Switch (FPS) product family, including the 5M02659R model, is designed for offline Switched-Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) with minimal external components. It consists of a high voltage power SenseFET and a current mode Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Integrated Circuit (IC). The integrated PWM controller features an oscillator, under voltage lockout, leading edge blanking, optimized gate turn-on/turn-off driver, thermal shutdown protection, over voltage protection, and temperature-compensated precision current sources for loop compensation and fault protection circuitry. Using the Fairchild Power Switch (FPS) can reduce the total component count, design size, weight, while increasing efficiency, productivity, and system reliability. This model is a cost-effective design solution suitable for either a flyback or forward converter.
