Electronic Component Model: 5KP17A is a TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) device. It is available in both unidirectional and bidirectional variants. The device is UL recognized with file # E480232. It is designed to withstand high temperature soldering of 260°C for 10 seconds at its terminals. For bidirectional devices, "C" is added to the suffix of the part number, for example, 5KP6.5C or 5KP6.5CA for 5% tolerance devices. The epoxy used in the device meets the UL 94 V-0 flammability rating. The device is marked with a cathode band and type number for easy identification. It has moisture sensitivity level 1 and is lead-free finish/RoHS compliant.
