Description
The FSQ0465R is an offline switcher and part of the AC DC converter product category. It is a Quasi-Resonant Converter (QRC) that typically demonstrates lower electromagnetic interference (EMI) and higher power conversion efficiency than traditional hard-switched converters with a fixed switching frequency. The device comes with an integrated pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller and SenseFET, engineered for quasi-resonant operation and Alternating Valley Switching (AVS). The PWM controller comprises a built-in fixed-frequency oscillator, Under-Voltage Lockout (UVLO), Leading-Edge Blanking (LEB), optimized gate driver, internal soft-start, temperature-compensated precise current sources for loop compensation, and self-protection circuitry. Compared to a discrete MOSFET and PWM controller solution, the FSQ0465R can reduce the total cost, component count, size, and weight, whilst simultaneously providing increased efficiency, productivity, and system reliability. This device provides a cost-effective platform for quasi-resonant switching flyback converter designs.
