Description
The ADSP-218xL series consists of four single chip microcomputers optimized for digital signal processing applications. These microcomputers are pin-compatible and differentiated only by the amount of on-chip SRAM, providing flexibility in the design decision. The series members have up to 160K bytes of on-chip RAM and are code compatible with the ADSP-2100 family, with instruction set extensions. They feature a 3-bus architecture, single-cycle instruction execution, and a powerful program sequencer for efficient execution. The ADSP-218xL series also includes integration features such as independent ALU and computational units, data address generators, and a programmable interval timer.
