Description

The MAX1897EGP is a step-down slave controller designed for low-voltage, high-current, multiphase DC-to-DC applications. It can be combined with Maxim's Quick-PWM step-down controllers to form a multiphase DC-to-DC converter. The MAX1897EGP includes features such as precise, active current balance, adjustable current-limit threshold, and optimized performance for low-output voltages. It has a wide battery input range of 4V to 28V and a switching frequency of either 300kHz or selectable 200kHz/300kHz/550kHz. The controller is packaged in a compact 20-pin 5mm x 5mm QFN package.
