The SAK-C167CR-4R33 B04278 is a high-performance 16-bit CPU with a 4-Stage Pipeline. It has a clock speed of 25/33 MHz and a 16-bit instruction cycle time of 80/60 ns. The CPU also features enhanced boolean bit manipulation facilities and additional instructions to support high-level programming languages and operating systems. It has a register-based design with multiple variable register banks and supports single-cycle context switching. The SAK-C167CR-4R33 B04278 has a total linear address space of 16 Mbytes for code and data, along with a 1024 Bytes on-chip special function register area. It also has a 16-priority-level interrupt system with 56 sources and a sample rate down to 40/30 ns. The CPU has 8-channel interrupt-driven single-cycle data transfer facilities via the peripheral event controller (PEC). Clock generation can be done via the on-chip PLL, prescaler, or direct clock input. The SAK-C167CR-4R33 B04278 has on-chip memory modules including 2 Kbytes of on-chip internal RAM (IRAM), 2 Kbytes of on-chip extension RAM (XRAM), and 128/32 Kbytes of on-chip mask ROM. It also features various on-chip peripheral modules such as a 16-channel 10-bit A/D converter, two 16-channel capture/compare units, a 4-channel PWM unit, two multi-functional general-purpose timer units with 5 timers, and two serial channels (synchronous/asynchronous and high-speed-synchronous). The CPU is equipped with an on-chip CAN interface (Rev. 2.0B active) with 15 message objects (Full CAN/Basic CAN). It supports up to 16 Mbytes of external address space for code and data, with programmable external bus characteristics for different address ranges. The SAK-C167CR-4R33 B04278 has idle and power down modes, a programmable watchdog timer, an oscillator watchdog, and up to 111 general-purpose I/O lines, some of which have selectable input thresholds and hysteresis. It is supported by a large range of development tools such as C-compilers, macro-assembler packages, emulators, evaluation boards, HLL-debuggers, simulators, logic analyzer disassemblers, and programming boards. The CPU also features an on-chip bootstrap loader and is available in a 144-pin MQFP package or a 176-pin BGA package.
