The SM4T36C is a Transil Diode that provides high overvoltage protection through clamping action. It is mainly used to protect voltage-sensitive devices such as MOS Technology and low voltage supplied IC’s. The diode has an instantaneous response to transients making it a perfect fit for this purpose.
