    The MAX721CSE-T is a compact, serial input/output common-cathode display driver that interfaces microprocessors (µPs) to various LED displays. It can control up to 8 digits of 7-segment numeric LED displays, bar-graph displays, or 64 individual LEDs. This electronic component includes a BCD code-B decoder, multiplex scan circuitry, segment and digit drivers, and an 8x8 static RAM for storing each digit. With only one external resistor required, the MAX721CSE-T allows easy adjustment of the segment current for all LEDs. It is compatible with SPI™, QSPI™, and Microwire™ protocols, and features slew-rate limited segment drivers to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI).
