Description

Microsemi's PD69012 is a Power over Ethernet (PoE) Manager chip designed for use in Ethernet switches and Midspans. This chip allows network devices to share power and data over the same cable. It is fully IEEE802.3af-2003 compliant and designed to support IEEE802.3at including two-event classification. The PD69012 is equipped with features such as pre-standard PD detection, Cisco devices detection, and IETF Power Ethernet MIB (RFC 3621) compliance. It has a wide temperature range of -40° C to +85° C and a single DC voltage input of 44v-57v. The chip can drive 12 independent two-pairs power ports or 6 independent 4-pairs ports. It also supports cascading up to 8 PoE devices (96 ports). The PD69012 is RoHS compliant.
